Love Our Planet

At Thread Tales Company we have a collective willingness to reduce our impact on the environment.

We source beautiful fabrics hand made in workshops striving to achieve clean production. The workshop in Nepal has installed a grey wastewater filtration system, leaving the water clean enough for irrigation. Solar panels are used to generate electricity and all dyes used are eco friendly. In the Burmese workshops each part of the Lotus is used from stem to flower with no waste and no polluting energy processes are involved in its production.

Our boxes, tissue paper and promotional material are made using recycled materials and eco-friendly printing methods and where possible are FSC accredited.

Value Our Artisans

Thread Tales Co celebrates the centuries-old skills of handcrafting. Our gorgeous metal tabs are hand-made and engraved in the Himalayas by a company that supports small scale Artisans. We help to resurrect weaving techniques in danger of being lost and we support our workers and their families with a fair wage, good working environments and opportunities to work at home.

The path of sustainability is an evolving one

Balancing ethical and environmental considerations with cultural concerns is a delicate process. We source materials for their superior quality to create stunning, unique pieces. Through supporting and celebrating artisan production at grass-roots level we are able to guide, educate and reintroduce superior quality in places such as China where, unfortunately in recent years, products have become linked with the poor quality and instant gratification of fast fashion.
